Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, (and other duties may be assigned):
Inspect and test machinery and equipment. Listen and observe machine operation noting unusual sounds equipment malfunctions - discuss operating discrepancies with machine operators and customer maintenance workers to diagnose problems and service/repair machines.
Dismantle defective components and install new or repaired parts. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Install and repair electrical components, such as transformers and wiring, printed circuit boards, motors, operating devices, feedback components, and electrical and electronic parts that are system components of the machinery and equipment being serviced.
Layout and assemble, install, troubleshoot and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair/replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Installs cnc equipment, operate and train customer personnel on the equipment being serviced, program the equipment, and repair cnc machinery and equipment such as turret punch presses, cnc press brakes, cnc laser cutting machines and other machines/equipment used in sheet metal cutting, forming and manufacturing.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree in related field or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Exhibits ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and peers.
Math Ability:
Exhibits ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as: fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry, and able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Exhibits ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have personal computer skills for word processing, spreadsheet software, and be capable of navigating the Internet and completing PC-based forms and database entries.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
When assigned as a Project Leader, may directly supervise 1 to 4 employees for work projects and/or training. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include project planning, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
